(August 2, 2023, 7:31 pm)Best barbecue in CT. We loved our experience here! It’s a small family owned place with some of the best bbq we’ve had. The pulled pork was amazing and the homemade bbq sauce was the perfect spice and sweetness. Also gluten free. The owner Brian was great and spent time talking with us and giving us some samples of the food before we got it. He also gives back to the community in cool ways. There was limited seating, as it’s more of a takeout place. There were only a few barstools inside and picnic tables outside, but it was super clean and fit the casual atmosphere of a barbecue place.

(July 30, 2023, 2:35 pm)We found this BBQ joint by accident and have now been here several times. I haven't tried their burnt ends but everything else I have had had been tasty. I think the smoky mashed potatoes were my favorite for a side. I really can not decide what my favorite main dish is because they are all so good. One of the best BBQ in Connecticut and I've had a lot around the state.

(July 19, 2023, 7:18 pm)As someone who has eaten at some of best barbecue joints in the country, many in the south, Royster's can certainly hold it's own among those places...they serve up some of the yummiest "Q" to be found anywhere! Only 3 stars for atmosphere, cuz it's just a little take out only place...now if they had a full blown sit down restaurant, with some live down home blues and soul music, then we would see 5 stars across the board. Seems like everything on the menu that I have eaten there is always on point...worth pulling off of Rt. 10 for.

(July 8, 2023, 1:45 pm)Great guys running this place. Helpful, patient, and explained everything thoroughly. The food is outstanding. The Oreos wrapped in bacon you have to try. This is a gem and treasure is better for having this place in town.
Try the three meat combination. The brisket is outstanding, the ribs are delicious, and the pulled pork is it outstanding. The macaroni and cheese is excellent. -

(May 11, 2023, 6:38 pm)Finally made it and this place did not disappoint! The owner is wonderful, has a great sense of humor and knows his BBQ! Everything hit above my expectations. The burnt ends ❤️❤️❤️❤️ the ribs fall off the bones, the brisket was very savory, the coleslaw, mac n cheese, and beans, unlike any other. The bbq sauces have their own tang. The bacon maple corn bread! Yum!!! And most of all…… I wasn’t drinking out of the toilet… lots of flavor without the SALTY taste! Thank you 🙏🏻 I’ll be back for sure!!!
