Reach for the Stars Physical Therapy

  I sustained a trimalleolar ankle fracture with dislocation that required surgery to implant two metal plates and 13 screws. After 8 weeks of being NWB, full weight bearing was permitted and PT began on my right ankle that had literally no range of motion and an atrophied calf muscle. Still wearing the ortho boot, I was unable to drive and was very fortunate to find ‘Reach for the Stars Physical Therapy' which provides home physical therapy. With the physical therapy provided by Tom Lucca; who possesses a friendly, professional demeanor, I quickly learned to be mobile; walking up and down the steps with crutches, getting in and out of a car, etc. Within a few weeks, my ROM was close to being normal and my calf muscle greatly improved. I went from being on two crutches, to one crutch, to a walker, then a cane and can now walk with little or no assistance. Five weeks into PT, I was able to drive and returned to work full time. Major accomplishments! I am truly grateful to have found ‘Reach for the Stars’ and I highly recommend Tom Lucca - physical therapist; he’s awesome....and thanks to his knowledge and experience as a PT, I have my life back!
