  You need to call ahead and make an appointment, but don't let that scare you off! This is a really amazing yarn store! A great variety of high-quality yarns in every fiber, lots of needles and notions, a wall of books and guides, and best of all Christina! She is very knowledgeable about knitting and is a good teacher, too. Also important: as of Spring 2022 she doesn't take credit cards but takes cash, checks or VenMo.

  This shop is bright, well organized and carries an excellent variety of yarn. Christina is extremely knowledgeable on numerous crafting techniques at all levels of difficulty. You receive one-on-one customer service; putting this shop far ahead of its competitors.

  Lovely yarn shop, hidden away in Port Ewen. Christina, the owner, is available to help with any projects and supported me through my first scarf. I am a terrible knitter but I wanted to make my girlfriend a scarf for Christmas. They had a great selection on hand to pick from and Christina welcomed me back to untangle the mess I made and finish the scarf. I wish I had her patience. If you want to get started in knitting or tackle a new challenging project, I'd suggest starting at the Rainbow Sheep Shoppe.
