  Note: As one would expect in Ocean Grove this is a older, restored hotel. Rooms are smaller, lacking in electrical outlets, with in window air conditioning. But the ambience is superb and as hotels in Ocean Grove go- this is a good one.
  
  Service is very good. Lots of nice amenities- complimentary coffee and tea, beach supplies- chairs, umbrellas, beach towels all complimentary for guests to use. Friendly front desk staff.
  
  A bit pricey- but again, summer in Ocean Grove to be expected.
  
  You can get beach passes at the front desk for $8 vs $12 at the beach.

  Stayed for the weekend to attend a wedding - we wanted an alternative to the hotel block. Staying at the Quaker Inn made it feel more like we were on a weekend vacation.
  
  For a historic property, it's exceptionally well kept. The furniture and decor in common areas reflect a variety of times. The 1960s soda machine was a hoot and the gentleman at the desk was happy to swap my singles for quarters.
  
  If it's unclear - this is NOT a BNB. There is coffee and tea readily available, but it's not a spot that offers any food beyond that. The antique soda machine was four quarters per can, and the lobby has a fridge of bottled water available on the honor system at $1 each.
  
  Stayed in Room #2, two couples. Everyone agreed that the beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable. Room had a kitchenette (no stove) with mini-fridge, freezer, microwave, dishes, and utensils. Also - CEILING FAN!
  
  A request for extra blankets was fulfilled to our satisfaction. We all had differing ideas of sleeping temperature.
  
  The bathroom is on the smaller side, but despite the smallish stall shower, hot water came very easily and quickly. We also got extra towels very quickly upon request.
  
  Walkable access is fantastic - eateries, shops, the beach - perfect location.
  
  Would I bring rambunctious kids here? No.
  
  Would I want someone else to bring their rambunctious kids? Also, no. It's a quiet location best suited to couples looking for a relaxing getaway.

  Very accommodating! Towels, chairs, umbrellas for the beach. Great location and comfortable!

  If you like antique charm, this 140 year old Inn, nestled in the heart of an historic district, is your place. The exceptional SERVICE is what warrants this review. I had a flat tire on a Sunday morning and a slow leaking spare. Gerry, at the front desk, searched online and we called 7 tire repair places, before we found one open 25 minutes away. He loaned me his bike pump in case I needed to boost that slow leaking spare. He even offered to drive me to the repair place. Great people. Great customer service.

  My boyfriend and I just recently stayed there on a Friday night and absolutely loved it! It was very clean, warm/friendly hosts, and conveniently located to the beach, shops, and Asbury Park! Highly recommend it.
