(August 4, 2023, 7:55 am)I needed a small wood piece to be turned for a restoration project and I found Philadelphia Woodworks online. I talked to Michael there and signed up for a session. Our assigned associate, Adam, skillfully and efficiently explained the operation of a lathe while creating the piece. What a fun experience and wonderful place!

(June 4, 2023, 4:29 pm)Had a fantastic time during the bowl making class. The instructor was extremely helpful, fun, and paced everything beautifully. I didn’t feel rushed and was able to take my time with each step. I had no experience with woodworking going in, and had a great experience coming out. It felt like pottery but without the globs of clay.

(March 7, 2023, 2:35 pm)I had little to no experience using a table saw that I bought but wanted to learn the basics for safety and accuracy to create my own custom frames for my artwork. I signed up for a one-on-one lesson with Adam and the experience was great. I learned so much in the time I had with him and left feeling very comfortable that I can use it safely. I would definitely join as a member if I lived closer and could make it to the interesting classes they have. The facility is well stocked with tools and supplies for pretty advanced woodworking. It's a gem in Philadelphia if you have any interest in woodworking!

The shop wasn’t overly crowded. I was always impressed with how clean the shop was. 5/5. If you’re exploring this new hobby or are a seasoned expert this spot will meet your needs.
