  I had a great experience working with Paula. I am not a singer and have no experience in this area, but I am going to sing to my bride at my upcoming wedding. The song I chose is a somewhat difficult one, and in the space of only 3 lessons, Paula brought me from not being able to sing at all to sounding reasonably accurate to the recording, which I find amazing. Before working with Paula, I was afraid I would make a fool of myself at the wedding (without her help, I would have!) but now, I feel confident and sure that I'll do great at the wedding, and things will go perfectly when I get up in front of all the guests to sing--something I never would have had the confidence to do if not for Paula's help and encouragement. Whether the lessons are for a single event, as with me, or a longer-term singing goal, I cannot recommend Paula highly enough!

  I would highly, highly recommend Cantare School of Voice to singers of any skill level and age! I had worked with Paula privately for about a year and a half and I significantly grew in my technique and range. Paula was my first classical teacher and she helped me set a strong technical foundation. Paula also helped me immensely through my college music program auditions and made sure I was more than prepared for each of my auditions. We carefully planned and chose repitoire based on consideration of my college choices. I was often told at auditions that my diction in my foreign language pieces was especially impressive which is all thanks to Paula's attention to each detail of repitoire pieces! So much love for you, Paula and all of the effort you put into your students!

  Paula is wonderful! Open minded and structured teaching builds great confidence in refining vocal technique. Wonderfully patient teacher. Been seeing Paula for about a year now and I’ve improved tremendously. We’ve worked on RnB, Pop, Classical, and Musical theater and she’s been great in guiding me to make them all more professional in execution. Thank you.

  Without a doubt, not only my vocal technique but also my musicianship has been challenged, and drastically improved, by working under Paula in the past year. As I anticipate the transition to continue my musical training in college, I can now view music in a different, more professional context than ever before.

  I was a complete novice, no karaoke, and I don't even listen to music that much. I was singing from the first lesson. Through vocal exercises and appropriate songs, Paula showed me how to approach a song, especially how to breath and how to prep for notes that seemed a stretch goal in the beginning. Singing lessons was on my bucket list, and Paula helped me check that off very nicely!

About Paula - CANTARE School of Voice

Paula is a 2004 semi-finalist of the prestigious New York Oratorio Society International Solo Competition. Paula is also an active voice teacher.
