(May 9, 2023, 3:23 pm)Recently switched to Pet Shield to explore possible holistic methods & other opinions regarding my cat’s digestion/allergies. My cat’s sneezing which suddenly developed took top billing. From the inception of booking the apptmt & procuring information on costs/services/food brand availability, I was impressed. Drew was very patient, friendly & informative. The hospital is spacious & spotless & looks brand new. I was pleasantly surprised that cats have their own dedicated room! There’s the plug-ins with the pheromones to put kitties at ease & all posters & pamphlets targeted just towards felines. Alexis, the vet tech, is superb!! She was so thorough & explicit in obtaining & notating information, I thought to myself this rivals the intake I’ve had with my own MD apptmts! She was also wonderful in handling my cat & appears to be fearless (all the while naturally being conscientious to safety & not over-stressing my kitty). Dr. Turmenne is wonderful & very personable & was patient with all my questions. She laid a road map of what I need to focus on first in getting my cat back on track. I was given a sedative to use for my kitty for future visits, which was a first & I was happy for it. I wish I had received that with previous vet. I was happy to discover my cat’s special sensitivity food was in stock in both bag & canned versions. Checking out, Alexis automatically assisted me & my cat back to my car. The next day I received a call from Drew to check on my cat’s status. I inquired about a dental cleaning & the estimate was emailed to me & Alexis went through all details on the phone. Everything is done so seamlessly & with such a high level of attention to care. In my past experience, there were times I felt dogs may receive more focus but, Pet Shield makes me feel confident I made the right switch & they are actually cat-owners themselves & know how to handle them outside of their trade. And to report, my cat who vomits her food often despite the special diet, seems to be 95% better so far with the probiotic she received from Pet Shield. Very happy!

(April 27, 2023, 12:54 pm)I wish I had become affiliated with Pet Shield years ago. The staff is wonderful. The facility is clean and I enjoy going there. The doctor is very informative and speaks so that completely understand what is going on.

(September 16, 2022, 2:46 pm)WOW...AMAZED!!! Brought my long hair kitty in for a shave on her back end (matted) which she DOES NOT LIKE having done. I purposely sat in the waiting room to avoid hearing her cry...heard the shaver but NOTHING from kitty??
When they came out, I laughingly asked if they muzzled her. They said "nope, she was great". I went in and kitty was lying belly up and completely calm, while they showed me what came out of a simple cyst they found and expressed...I still can't believe how easy this visit was!

(June 21, 2018, 12:44 pm)It is impossible for me to speak too highly of the staff at Pet Shield Veterinary Hospital. We have been going there for years, both with Dr. Fischbach and with Dr. Shanley, and have never been treated with anything less than generous and attentive care. During our cat's last illness they were always there to provide updates, make suggestions, and help us make her as comfortable as possible. The passing of a pet is never easy, but without the compassionate staff at Pet Shield it would have been twice as hard. We have adopted two new cats from the shelter next door, and would trust no one else with their health. And if anyone from Pet Shield reads this: thank you for all you do!
