(August 18, 2023, 1:14 pm)Lovely spot for some decent hikes. But was very buggy when we were there. It had rained recently but I recommend bringing bug spray for sure. Bunch of trails that are on All Trails Map too.

If you are looking for a nice walk through the woods with some hills for cardio, this is the place to go!
There is a cool pond at the top of the trail.
Check it out! I love it!

(December 13, 2022, 4:25 pm)Decent hike, and great place to take your dog(s). It was nice that they had a picnic table at the summit! We took the yellow and blue blaze trails which had a nice vista and a lake. Not too challenging, so would be fine for the kids and beginners. Plenty of parking, and there's a porta-potty and trash can.

Is there an easier way to access the picnic area, other than hiking in from points south? The eastern entrance by the park headquarters is accessible from Gun Mill Road. Gun Mill is listed as a private road. You have this lovely picnic area, which canno tbe enjoyed by all.
