Arriving on a sunny Sunday afternoon in November, there were no other cars in the lot. A portapotty is provided for your comfort. The trail map is in excellent shape, with the paths at the beginning of the park suitable for youngsters and those mobility-challenged. If you follow the river trail, waterproof shoes are recommended, as the ground is spongy, and there are streams to be crossed. The yellow/gold loop is hilly, but drier terrain. There are unmarked trails which lead out of the park, depending on how far you want to walk.

Great views of the Farmington River. It can be a short or long walk. Cute little nooks with personal size beaches to take a break at or read a book or play with a dog at. I went Tuesday afternoon for 3 hours. No one showed up.

I didn't walk the trails as I just went there to go fishing. Bring bug spray. It is a pretty steep decline to the river but somebody attach a rope to a tree to make the descent a little bit safer. As some people have said, it is pretty shallow so you could walk in there or wear some waterproof boots

Great park. A hidden little gem along the Farmington River. Trails are not groomed or paved but are great for hiking, trail running, or biking.

Nice walk with kids, definately don't bring a stroller paths are narrow unless you stay on the main path and don't walk down by the rivers edge. Found a spot with nice flat rocks that the kids and I skipped on the river. Few bugs but not too bad. Kids enjoyed it especially the abandoned house by the pond with tons of flowers.
