  Awesome Historic Hotel in the Old City, close to all of the historical sites. Classic and comfortable old rooms with a great view of the bridge and cobblestone alley below. The staff was very helpful: Loren, Evan, and especially Antonio who allowed me to use his bus pass to get to the post office to send some important (but heavy - needed to take the bus) packages. I want to come back and see more sights in Philadelphia next year and plan on staying at this charming hotel again. Some reviews mentioned car noise from the highway as a problem. but though I am a light sleeper that was NOT a problem. I ran the fan all night and never heard a car. Bed was comfortable and AC worked well during my stay during hot August days. For the price you cannot beat this hotel, especially if you are town to see historic sites.

  Right down in the heart of Philly, very close to many of the sites. Great location. Rooms were clean & comfortable. Front desk people were friendly & helpful. Great hotel to stay at in Philadelphia.

  I have always enjoyed a wonderful experience here at the Penn’s View. It was great to finally return here after many years due to the pandemic and be recognized immediately on arrival. The service was excellent, as always, the accommodations very pleasant and comfortable. The rooms are very cozy, immaculate and well maintained. For the first time I was able to dine at Panorama, which was a flawless experience.

  We stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. The staff was very nice which is always appreciated. Despite being a slightly older hotel the room was still pretty nice and comfortable. It was always a little too warm at night though even with the AC running. The location was excellent. Easy walk to all the sights but yet it’s just far enough there is not a lot of vehicle traffic or people on the street out front. We were never disturbed by sound from other guests or cars, somehow this hotel keeps a lot of that sound out. There are a few parking options nearby, all paid though. I would like to see the hotel buy the lot right next to it and include free parking for guests. Overall great stay and if I ever come back to Philly I will stay here again.
