  Dr. Senatus is a GREAT surgeon! He did a spinal fusion on my L5-S1 (lower back). I was a very scared because it was my first major surgery. But his PA made sure to answer every question I had through out every appointment. I am happy I went through with surgery, I am pain free almost 2 years later. I highly recommend him for spine surgery. Now I'm getting treated for my C6-C7 (neck) new finding, the pain is horrible and worst than my lower back. If in the future I'm getting surgery I want for Dr. Senatus to be my surgeon again. He has a great team! 😀

  This review was written by my mother, Luz, and I am posting it on her behalf:
  I am the mother of four wonderful children whose lives and my life have been completely changed due to a fall I had approximately three years ago. My accident caused me to develop a herniated disk, and a pinched nerve that was affecting my L5 and S1 vertebrae. To cope with the pain I tried pain management injection, physical therapy, acupuncture, massages, muscle relaxers, and pain killers, all of which offered me a temporary solution because the pain always returned. Certainly, I decided to use all available resources in order to avoid the surgery; I visited over 6 doctors and experts such as orthopedics, neurologist and pain management doctors, and most of them recommended surgery. I did not want surgery until one day, about 4 months ago, I was sitting down and right after I stood up and began to walk, I immediately felt as if I was a marionette puppet; I felt as though somebody was pulling me from both of my legs. The simple action of standing up and walking turned into a life changing event that scared me so much that at that moment I made the decision of considering having the surgery given that my condition was getting worse as time passed. I shared my experience with one of my family members and he told me that the mother of his girlfriend had a surgery with Dr. Senatus and that she was very happy with her results. I talked to her and she told me that Dr. Senatus is the best doctor she has seen. I did my homework about Dr. Senatus and learned he is highly educated, experienced, and Board Certified Neurosurgeon with the most advanced minimally invasive techniques available for spinal procedures. When I met Dr. Senatus, I was filled with the peace of mind that I needed to entrust someone with my body and life. Dr Senatus is very compassionate and from his interactions with me I realized and felt that he cares about me. Dr Senatus recommended the necessary tests and informed me that my condition got worse up to a point where I had my two bones rubbing each other. He takes all the time needed to explain in detail any problem or procedure and the options available for me, and if I was a good candidate or not for surgery. Dr. Senatus was well aware of the impact this procedure meant for my body and also my emotions. He made sure that I was always comfortable before and even after the surgery. In addition, Dee Jerome who is the manager of Dr. Senatus’s office, is an amazing person who provides great services. Approximately, seven weeks ago, Dr. Senatus performed an Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion surgery and now I feel better than before the surgery and I am still recuperating. I thank God for putting Dr. Senatus in my path. I highly recommend Dr. Senatus.

  When I found that I needed surgery on my cervical disk, there was no hesitation. Only one man was going to perform it. I traveled over 1200 miles to return to the doctor who had healed my lumbar spine. Dr Senatus and his office staff is like no other. He treats you like a family member, not a number in the assembly line. His staff is always polite and caring. I spent 30 years in the medical field so I have a little experience identifying the good from the bad. Dr Senatus is in a league of his own. Bedside manner that is not rushed, hands that are guided by God and hugs that calm even the most nervous patient. Praying that I don't ever need surgery again but if I do then there is only one option for the surgeon, Dr Patrick Senatus.

  I went to see Dr. Senatus last year (Sept 2016) after dealing with lower back pain for the last few years. I had done 5 epidural injections and years of physical therapy. The pain was quite debilitating and it prevented me from work or any of my usual activities.
  Dr. Senatus saw 2 of my discs were herniated and scheduled surgery to fuse the unstable vertebrates and stabilize my lumbar area. I was amazed by how kind and informative Dr. Senatus was from the initial appointment. His assistant, Dee, was very good at setting up all my paperwork and appointments. This was a worker's comp case and it required approvals. Dee handled everything with ease and in great time.
  Dr. Senatus answered all my questions and made feel at ease with the procedure. At the hospital he met with me before surgery to make sure I was well and feeling ready. He explained once again the procedure and possible outcomes and recovery. Surgery was very successful and the hospital staff was excellent. I got great care while at my one day stay. Dr. Senatus came to see me after the surgery to assure me all went well and once again answer any questions. I also saw him before my discharge the next day.
  It has been 8 months since my surgery and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I have made. Another was to meet and treat with Dr. Senatus. I have seen him since for follow up and he continues to be the same in regards to answering questions and addressing any concerns from my procedure. I have improved immensely after my procedure. I am getting back to my old life one week at a time. I have already recommended Dr. Senatus to my friends and others who remember how disabled with pain I was and see a new me now. If you have to see a doctor for you back, I can recommend no better doctor then Dr. Senatus. He is an amazing doctor, but more importantly, an amazing human being. I am a better person for having met and treated with him.
  I will continue to follow up with him and Dee for my recuperation and any additional back issues.
