  Michael E was an amazing waiter! He was funny, kind and courteous. And of course the food was amazing. Buffalo Mac n cheese and fish and chips hit the spot.

  my experience at Oxford House Tavern was absolutely wonderful. I had some of the best service I have ever had and the food was delicious. For the service alone, I will be coming back here plenty. Our server was such a delight and after deciding not to get dessert because my fiancè wasn't hungry enough to split it with me, our server ended up bringing it out anyway complimentary. It was such a kind gesture that I won't forget. 10/10 can't reccomend enough.

  Relaxing atmosphere. Food: Chicken parmigiana was great especially if you like thicker chicken. Strip steak was average to below average. Drink selection was decent, beer, wine and mixed drinks we all good. Will go again but won’t order the steak.

  Our first time here and it was exceptionally good. Food was good, the service was good and the atmosphere in the bar was quiet and pleasant. I liked the cloth/linen napkins.
  We shared a crab cake that was excellent. My wife loved her fish tacos (and she is an expert on fish tacos). I had a salmon burger. I was surprised that it was a formed patty of salmon, but it was still very good and flavorful. I opted for Truffle Fries and they were fat fries, cooked perfectly and awesome.
  We had a bottle of Kendal-Jackson Chardonnay and the whole bill was $83.
  We will definitely go back. I saw one review that said that this place is a hidden gem. Based on this, our first experience, and the fact that they were not crowded at all at 1PM, leads me to believe that this is true.

  My first time here was this past Monday (10/11/22 around 3-4pm) and without even looking at the photos or reviews online before going, the outside is what caught my attention especially being new to this part of CT a lot of older style buildings.
  
  I was quickly greeted by the awesome server Micheal taking care of my table immediately at the time of sitting there was just 2 tables but still) he seemed liked he enjoyed working at this restaurant and now a days it's sad that not many look or give off that vibe anymore.
  
  I ordered the chicken parm which tasted very good but for $25 me being someone who loves to eat was able to kill it pretty easily. My girlfriend got a breakfast burger and omg I wish I ordered that myself it was so perfectly cooked along with the fries when I return I will 100%%% order that dish. Finishing off with not only one one but two dessert pies that Oreo tasted like it was fresh out the pack and crushed the moment we ordered it I'm not even a dessert guy but that was the best one I've had in a long time.
  
  I would definitely recommend this location for a nice Night out. Unfortunately I was told there was no Happy Hour and they had a small bar off to the side so I don't know if I'll recommend it for a quick stop but the food is very fresh and I definitely want to shout out the Owner Eddie for making our first experience dope!.
