  is been a month since our mom passed away, one of the things that we talk the most among family and friends is the funeral service. over a hundred people showed up at O'reilly funeral home for the visitation and before the mass across the street, and all of them were received and cared for by Peter, pat and Karissa.
  Karissa made our mom look so beautiful and peaceful. Just by looking at pictures of her when she was in good health, she managed to perform a miracle in bringing her back to life for the last time. She managed to made her look so radiant.. everyone was in awe at the transformation. Peter was always at the ready with my many phone calls and requests,, and Pat was there with us at the cemetery. he stayed with us longer that was requested making sure that everybody was ok. Never met a group of people more compassionate and caring that Mr. O'Reilly's team. The whole experience from picking up mom from our house to laying her to rest albeit, sad and painful was beautiful and perfect.
  I choose O'Reilly funeral home because it was the most affordable in our Rosedale/ valley stream area, but never though of getting much, much more than our money's worth in terms of the facility, attention to details and caring.

Mr. O’Reilly and Karissa you did an amazing job making our mom’s transition smoothly. It is a very difficult situation for us and we are still struggling dealing with her loss, but you and your staff did an awesome job in working with us through this tough time.   I would like to thank the staff of O'Reilly's funeral home. The service was excellent given the circumstances the staff was professional compassionate and fulfilled every request during this process. In the unfortunate time of losing a loved one O'Reilly's funeral home was very accommodating. Due to the excellent service it allowed my family to focus on grieving and healing. Thank you for taking care of my mothers transition.

  I HIGHLY recommend this funeral home to anyone!! Not only were they professional but they were very empathetic throughout my enter ordeal which I was surprised to see. Other funeral homes that I have come into contact with in the past tend to have staff members that are very desensitized because they’re constantly surrounded by death but both Peter and Karissa were so nice and understanding and helpful. I had to bury my dad back in his country of Nigeria which was not an easy process but this funeral home made things so easy and they kept me posted on all things and I didn’t have to lift a finger. They were very respectful of my culture and would call and text periodical to check in on me to make sure that everything went smoothly for me in Nigeria as well. That was what meant the most to me because once my dad’s body was in Nigeria it was officially out of their hands but they did not see it that way. They actually cared and made sure to let me know that they were there to help in any way they can. If you want to give your loved one a wonderful ceremony and work with a funeral home that genuinely cares then this is the first place I would recommend!! Thank you O’Reilly Funeral Home for everything!!

Peter O'Reilly is a thoughtful and caring professional who understand the needs of grieving families in the midst of turmoil and pain. He is a person of character, dependable and compassionate. You can trust him to care for you and make you and your guests feel at home in his "home." Not all funerals homes are created equal, so these qualities, and just having a funeral director who is a genuine, relatable human being, helps set this one apart.
