  I have contacted my leasing office during the first week I moved in with regards to maintenance. They sent someone over and he fixed my toilet seat but told me the mold in my cabinets was not an issue. He rubbed his bare hands on the spot and rolled up a piece of the mold between his fingers. He then proceeded to flick the mold into my sink and said to use bleach on the spot. I have been in my place for about a month now and the mold has not gone away despite treating the afflicted areas with a diluted bleach mixture. In fact, we have a corner on my ceiling that continues to discolor and get worse black spotting. I regularly hear water sounds as if it’s leaking right into the area of my cabinet. I have called for maintenance another time but have yet to see someone. My cabinets smell like mold as well, and I have not been able to use them since the time I moved in. There are random spots of water damage seen throughout my apartment. The list does not stop as I also can’t close any doors due to the various layers of paint that have been painted over them.
  
  Edit: They have since then fixed the issue and have given much more timely responses. The leasing office receptionist is always extremely sweet and always a pleasure to talk with.
