  My two boys have been attending this school for the past two years and have thrived in the nurturing and supportive environment. We initially moved our eldest to NHM from another preschool in the area and after the first month we couldn't have been happier. We've experienced all three classrooms between our two boys and each experience has been great. All the teachers have been with the school over 15 years, which is rare to find. The teachers and administrator's always answered our questions, addressed concerns, and always made time to talk. The school has really helped both boys develop their independence and self confidence. We're moving next month and sad to leave but we're very grateful for the opportunity to have had our children attend NHM.

  I have three daughters (3, 4.5, 6) – and each one thrives at New Horizons Montessori.
  
  As an active and engaged parent, I absolutely love our experience at NHM – and here’s why…
  
  First, quality education. With my oldest in WW-P Kindergarten, I can tell you firsthand more learning happens here than the public school. NHM Teachers encourage their students to continuously learn new things – and do so in a way that aligns with their individual journey. My 4.5 and 6 year old are both reading chapter books and working on multiplication and division concepts, while my 3 year old is counting in multiple languages and finessing the mechanics of handwriting.
  
  Second, style of play. It’s less about being ‘Montessori’ – and more about embracing the fine art of play. NHM Teachers facilitate both focus and curiosity in their classroom – so kids have a chance to figure out what they want to do (vs. being directed). This comes out in how my girls play at home – where I no longer need to prep a list of activities. Rather, they find more joy in figuring out different ways to entertain themselves.
  
  But my favorite part of all – extends beyond the academic and social elements – and straight into the heart of NHM feeling like ‘home.’ The environment reflects how I would choose to spend the day with my girls – if I wasn’t working full time. No devices, no distractions. But focused attention. Thoughtful observation. And above all… truly deep care and commitment for the development of these tiny humans.

  The school and the teacher are great. I had an amazing experience with both my kids, they loved going to school everyday. The staff is caring, well prepared and take and excellent care of the kids. The communication with the family has always been really good, they have been supportive and always available to our needs. Academically my children have learn a lot, they have grown socially and have experienced an enormous variety of activities. Families are involved with celebrations and updated with the activities of the children. The summer camp is also a great experience with outdoor games, events and there is still space for learning. The location is really good, quiete and with a nice and big playground. We will miss this school, I can say that the teachers that works here are the best ones that my children have ever had.

  New Horizons was a great place for our sons to grow over the past four years and we will miss the teachers and friends our kids made there. The teachers have over 20 years of experience and in most cases have many years of experience at New Horizons specifically. Montessori style classes give older students an opportunity to lead class activities while giving younger kids exposure to more advanced topics than typical through older role models in the same class. We saw our oldest kid go from being pushed academically to being very confident as one of the oldest in the class. It is a good mix between structured, individually catered education and allowing students to gravitate towards their own interests as individuals. Students are not talked down to or overpraised in class and there is an environment of respect for teachers and other students. There is a great deal of focus at the school on international culture including French and Spanish education and our preschooler will often surprise us by counting to ten in another language out of the blue, for instance. It also helps that so many of the families that feed into the school are first or second generation immigrants from other countries. At international day, students have a chance to share their family history and it was mentioned at one point that over 30 nationalities were represented across the relatively small school. A+
