Fantastic place for summertime activities. The adventure park is extremely fun and the events are run well. But above all else the staff is incredibly nice and helpful. Everyone was polite and went out of their way to make the trip better. Definitely a great summer weekend trip.
My love letter to Blue Mountain,
I'm writing this one get some things off my chest in a good way regarding Blue Mountain. Reading negative reviews of this mountain makes me laugh. I grew up and learned how to ski and snowboard at Blue Mountain when it was still Little Gap and they did not allow snowboarding at the time, dating myself I know.
I have been snowboarding for 34 years, skied from the age of 2 until 10. Do the math. Been on snow my entire life. The Poconos will deliver a ski experience that is challenging for the Novice, above average or expert skiers and snowboarders.
The age old saying if you can ski here you can ski anywhere in world is very true. East Coast conditions are not kind and the Poconos are no exception. I will say if you are willing to put in the work Blue Mountain can carve you into an extremely capable skier or snowboarder and prepare you for any conditions around the globe.
The mountain has 1000 feet of vertical drop, Blue Mountain is the highest top to bottom in PA and within a good chuck of the greater east coast resorts so let that sink in. Sidewinder, Challenge, Razors Edge will push your limits as far as you are willing to push yourself, get to know your edges and find out if you are as good as you think you are. Ice, groomed corduroy, slush, loose granular, and even yes, powder at times.
Challenging terrain park, easy going beginner trails and, lodge with food and beverage.
If you are pigeon and blast this place for service or perceived short comings, just remember this is not Deer Valley or the Ritz Carlton. Come enjoy the slopes, be thankful for the employees who show up and enjoy yourselves.
Having been in the greater Salt Lake City area for more than 10 years riding the best snow on earth, I don't forget where I came from and the place that helped develop my skills. That was Blue Mountain! Wax your gear, sharpen your edges and let'r rip. Don't forget your helmet. Ice is hard :)
Shout to Joe Warner, longtime Ski Patroller at Little Gap/Blue Mountain who helped me develop my love for skiing/snowboarding. Blue if you read this look up Joe he was one of a kind.

The Blue Mountain Aerial park is so much fun! A group of 4 of us got the 2 hour tickets and we had enough time to complete the ropes course, zip-lining and free fall jump. The instructors were very friendly and checked your gear regularly. There’s also a resturant that offers great views after you finish up at the park (get the soft pretzel app!).
One of the best places to go for snow tubing. Staffs are super nice and helpful. I just have a couple of comments; (1) Ticket prices are the same for all ages and this isn't fair, because how come 3 yrs old pay as much as an adult!? (2) They should have a new cancellation policy and refund because people get sick or change their minds or for whatever reason, they can't go, Blue Mountain administration should have a policy for refund and cancellation. (3) If you scan your tickets one time at the door, I think that should be enough so I don't have to get my ticket out of my pockets every time I go back up, think about families and young kids who can't do that regularly, I think 1 time scan the tickets should be pretty enough. Otherwise, it's a nice place!
a wonderful ski resort that caters to family groups, they have trails for all skill levels. as of Dec 20th and Dec 21st 2022, the conditions were ok before the snowstorm but there were some trails that had icy parts. many trails for variety (although some trails were closed when we went) staff were very attentive and friendly here. the resort would benefit from having more lights though because it was a little hard to see during night skiing.
