  Lovely Mother's Day meal here this May 2023 with my son and partner. Wonderful historic Inn with fine food for those not staying overnight. Wait staff told us many of the game dishes were sold out as they were tremendously popular last week. !
  We didn't even remember them serving game other than duck. Glad everyone enjoyed these meal options. (see menu in photos)
  Our stuffed mushroom appetizer, seafood Newburg casserole, duck legs, and encrusted salmon boursin were all complimentary to the Chef. A bread basket comes with your order. The fresh daffodils on each table were a special touch and much appreciated.

  Reopening after Covid restrictions, it was nice to have another meal here and see the kitchen has improved, and they've redecorated the main dining room with table linens that are an attractive improvement. A few years ago I would have given this Inn three stars after our first meal here together, but with the food served the other day, it's definitely four stars now.
  
  Service was friendly and timely. Drinks from the bar in the neighboring room were good. An appetizer and two main dinner entrées were all well cooked. While we waited for our orders, two complimentary fresh rolls with herbs came out in a basket with butter - soft and warm.
  
  The calamari that followed was hot, tender, lightly battered and seasoned. My half duck was pleasantly moist with a French brandy and raspberry reduction on the side. The meat, slow roasted for hours, was so palatable on its own I ate some of it by itself and some of it dunked in the inviting sauce. The dish came with mashed potatoes and a mix of cauliflower and broccoli that suited the duck.
  
  A special dinner item, baked stuffed fresh filet of haddock with crab meat stuffing was also delicious. The menu says the stuffing is mixed with lemon, white wine, butter, mushrooms, onions and garlic. The fish is topped with a Ritz parmesan crumb and served golden brown and bubbling. My partner could have eaten two of these! This meal came with the same vegetable sides as my duck.
  
  We would definitely order both of these dinners again and recommend them, but we have our eyes on a few other menu items for the next time we visit.
  
  The New Boston Inn, another stagecoach inn built in 1737, is listed on the National Registrar of Historic Places. Along with its taproom, it has three dining rooms, a ballroom on the second floor, and updated guest rooms still true to the period each with their own private bath. It sits on two quiet acres.
  
  Some guests come after seeing it on the SciFi channel's show, "Ghost Hunters" or reading about it in the Yankee Magazine, hoping to see their resident ghost, "Harriet."
  Whether you hope to see her or just want a historic place to stay in the Berkshires, stop over, or simply treat yourself to a fine meal. They have an event calander for things to do in the area.

  Neat place, lots of history.
  Great beers on tap. They had a special of steamers or fried whole bellies. I ordered the fried whole bellies and they were over done, most of the order pretty much burnt. Sent them back. Recieved another order and there were less claims and they were barely fried. Should have just ordered the steamers, LOL.
  Like I said before, cool place to stop for a bite, but hopefully in the future they can get there fried clams under control.
  Will be back.

  Absolutely fabulous! Just moved in to the area and love the establishment. We have eaten here once and takeout once with drinks both times. Food is delicious and the servers are personable and take great care. We recommend the pot roast, stuffed peppers (a special), the onion rings, and the awesome coleslaw. We can’t wait to go back!

  Great experience! We live 2 towns over and stopped on our way home from shopping at the outlets. Were pleasantly surprised at the good food and nice atmosphere. We will be back!
