When COVID hit along with all it's new hospital guidelines, we gave Dina a call with open minds and loads of questions. She answered all our questions with plenty of patience, while gently educating us on what a home birth truly embodies. After speaking with her, we felt at ease and began seeing her in her cozy Ocean Grove setting. Connecting with Dina as she monitored our pregnancy was like connecting with an old friend. Relaxed and enjoyable visits at her place by the sea were highlights. When it was finally time to birth, Dina and her assistant Simone provided gentle, encouraging support as our little one entered the world. We are fortune and blessed to have experienced this beautiful, peaceful miracle and are forever grateful for the love and guidance from Dina.
I had my first baby at home with Dina and it was the best decision I have ever made. Dina has the greatest approach to birth and her role in the process, giving plenty of support while still letting you take the lead and stay true to yourself in all decision making. During the actual birth, she manages to have everything under control while still remaining in the background enough that sometimes you forget she is even there if she's not needed at the moment. I can't imagine birth any other way now and will definitely be planning to make sure it is with Dina again if we have more children.
Dina is loving, grounded, honest and a warrior woman! She held myself and my husband so wonderfully through our first pregnancy!! I felt in my power and in control of ALL decisions. She truly honors YOU and your decisions. You will be in the best if care with Dina. I had the home birth of my dreams and am so grateful we were led into each other's lives. She is a blessing and a true friend.
It's hard to put into words our experience with having Dina guide us into parenthood. With my first pregnancy I knew I wanted to have my baby at home under the care of a loving midwife. Then I met Dina and I knew she was the one I wanted to help me on this journey. Under her care I felt loved, supported, autonomous and empowered. She respected every wish I had and supported every decision I made. My first pregnancy and birth were amazing and I went on to have another beautiful pregnancy and birth with her 2.5 years later. She is a part of our family forever. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about her and how grateful I am to know her.
Dina is absolutely amazing. I have 3 daughters and Dina was my homebirth midwife for my middle and youngest child. My entire prenatal, birth and post care Dina listened to, advised and encouraged me in all the best ways. She provided support, knowledge and expert medical care. She treated me not just as a patient but as a whole person who wasn’t just pregnant. She cared to know how all aspects of my life were going and how that contributed to my overall well being and the well being of my babies. She treated my daughters with compassion and included them in all the visits so that they felt safe, loved and protected. And when it came time to birth my babies, Dina was calm, confident and supported me exactly as I personally and medically needed. At all times we were in the best hands. Literally when I had my post natal appointments for my two births, I was so sad to not be able to see Dina on a regular basis. Dina was there during the most important moments of my life, and she will always be important part of my family’s story.
