  Great little museum to take young kids. A lot of interactive stations and have for dress up and roll play! Definitely recommend.

  Nassau County Firefighters Museum is one of several small museums in "Museum Row," Uniondale, NY. The museum offers some very old fire engines, ladder trucks, and other apparatuses. There are some interactive exhibits that young and older folks would enjoy. There is also a portion of the museum that has a display with real bunker gear that firefighters wear during a fire call that folks can try on. There are small sizes that children can put on and look like a real firefighter.
  
  The museum, however, has portions that are quite dated and need some improvements. This museum is in need of our support. Please visit their website for ways to do so. There is nothing like this museum on the island that honors these brave men and women of the fire service.

  Such a great experience. I would recommend this to any family. School . Birthday party or even a rainy day out with the kids .
  We will be back soon , can’t wait to see what’s new .

  The staff at the museum goes the extra mile to answer questions and make sure both adults and kids have fun and learn about history and safety. A great place along with the other museums in museum row.

  Very nice place to get the kids out of the house. Went there 11 am in Sunday, there were only about 4 different families there. The kids got to take their time to look around, and were excited to see and learn about a lot of things. I love the tribute to the fallen 9/11 firefighters. Young kids will have a lot of fun there. I also like that they have hand sanitizer in every corners because kids touch everything. .

Once you enter the aviation museum, you can buy tickets for both the fire fighter museum &/ the aviation museum. Kids under 2 are free. Adults are $5 and kids (over 2) are $4. Yes, the museum is quite small, two rooms really but my 22 month old had a blast.
