  Got a rental through them. The process was easy and informative. The instrument itself feels great to play and I can't wait to stop back next year to return my rental and purchase my first violin!

  Montero is the best store for all your strings needs. Montero is small business, mom and pop shop, with the quality of a Madison Avenue boutique, without the bloated prices. Owners Mike and Jen could not be more kind, professional, and knowledgeable without being supercilious. They want to make music education to be accessible and available to all those who want to give a violin, cello, or viola a whirl. With the expertise and know-how to serve Yitzchak Perlman’s needs and the joyful hospitality to make even a novice feel encouraged and comfortable, the Monteros are a treasure for the entire Lehigh Valley and beyond.

  Wow! As a parent of a violin player I wasn't sure what to expect from this cute shop. We found Montero via google and swung by to find the owner and wife to be incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about this art! Great client service and personable beyond my expectations. We will return!
  
  UPDATE: We purchased a violin and rented a cello from the location and again they did an amazing job at identifying our needs, price point, and we never felt pressured. They did an amazing job!!
  
  UPDATE: Again, we had a great experience. Had to get cello strings changed and also get information on transferring a violin across states and how to keep it tuned. Jennifer and her husband were both there along with their dog, and gave me all the info I needed. They are always so knowledgeable and kind. There's no fluff at this shop, they are professionals and know what you need. They don't try to upsell you and are great. Thank you for keeping up the great work.

  Needed a string replacement and didn’t want to wait for shipping, thought I’d try my luck with guitar center, only to find out that they do sell strings however don’t have any specialist knowing how to replace it (there’s also another string that’s out of tune and I just couldn’t get it right so I needed some help) luckily my friend found this place on google, and gee! How come I never thought of searching and know this place! My violin journey might have started very differently!!(though I’m happy with the current one as well) Feeling blessed having shops like this close in the area. Fixed my strings in no time!

  I have been a musician all my life but have been thinking about adding the cello to my list of instruments. I stopped in today, just a curious visitor. I left today with a rented cello that looks and sounds beautiful. I've only had it for a few hours but I can't put it down. I love the sound and playability and the ease of the rental process. I'm going to rent this for awhile and then my rental payments will go to the purchase of this cello. Its only day one, but I'm in love with this instrument. I'm in love with the store. And I'm a happy person today because of them. Thank you!
