What a amazing woman. I was very nervous about this appointment. I have PAH and didn't really want surgery. After talking to Dr Helms I'm not having surgery. It was refreshing have a doctor that wasn't for cutting me open or pushing drugs.
I can't say enough about Dr. Helms, she is amazing. I had to get emergency surgery and I felt completely at ease with Dr. Helms and her surgical team. Kind, professional, sincere and competent are just a few words I would use to describe her, you're awesome Doc! Thank you for taking such good care of me!
Dr. Helms was very pleasant to talk to. This is my first surgical procedure and needless to say I am quite nervous about that… Dr. Helms put me at ease and was very thorough in her explanation of this upcoming surgery… I would highly recommend her service to anyone of my friends or loved ones…

I didn't have a choice as my procedure was emergency but if I did have one, I would easily have chosen Dr. Helms if I had met her before. She explained my procedure and answered my questions about it very well while keeping me less anxious about the overarching thoughts of suddenly needing surgery. The next time I saw her was in the morning after and she did a great job talking with me about what to expect for recovery and care for the future. Two weeks later and I'm feeling excellent so the surgery itself was performed perfectly.
