  Wonderful dining experience from beginning to end on August 16,2023
  We drive up from Fairfield and it was well worth it.
  Staff was exceptional and execution of food fantastic.
  Everything we expected for a casual but high end dining experience.

  First time dining at Materia. We ended up doing 7 course tasting menu. Food was exceptional and waitstaff was even better. Very attentive and friendly. Everything was cooked perfect. Thanks for a great experience and will return for another date night.

  My wife and I had our 6 year anniversary here, and it was absolutely spectacular. The hand-crafted cuisine is all either made in-house or locally sourced. They feature a finely selected wine list with some delicious cocktails as well. The attentive service was the cherry on top. We will be back for future anniversaries!

  Absolutely wonderful! The perfect place for a birthday celebration we were a group of five …we had the most delicious dinner…lovely friendly service and we were wowed by each course. When we talked about it after we couldn’t think of one course that we didn’t like….we had the whole tasting menu. All in all a huge treat and we couldn’t recommend it more highly. Thank You!!

  Excellent Food and Service in a stone mansion Inn. Reservations a must. $$$$ but worth it. Note, not $ as seen on Resy.
  My 2 suggestions-
  -Turn up the heat before service starts at 530p in winter. It’s a stone building.
  - I’m not a vegetarian but because we ordered the incredible steak for 2, I did not want a meat ragu on pasta, but none were on the menu that night. We ordered 2 off menu pastas, Pomodoro and Cacio e Pepe, both Fabulous!
  Beautiful main dining room and there are private dining and event spaces.
  Staff was very pleasant, friendly and professional.
  Enjoy a day exploring the beautiful Litchfield Hills in Northwest CT, and visit Materia for dinner!
