Carrie Dean is a miracle worker! She worked with our 6 week old daughter post frenectomy. We immediately saw a difference in my daughter's body since Carrie's visit. My daughter's jaw, face, and entire body loosened up, her latch improved, and breastfeeding has become so much better thanks to just one session of body work and craniosacral therapy. My daughter also had an affinity towards her left shoulder and we struggled to get her to look the other way; but now, she has no problem looking to her right! Carrie is so patient, understanding, and knowledgeable. We are so fortunate to have had her work with us!
Carrie was so so wonderful guiding me on my BF journey. What started with a pretty severe tongue tie, a very low supply, and an even hungrier baby, ultimately landed us to basically exclusively breast feed within 5 weeks. Carrie is so warm, listens to your goals, and provides a plan to meet those goals. When I expressed how much work the original plan was, she adjusted her recommendation but still garnered the same result. I'd recommend Carrie to anyone considering a LC.
Carrie Dean is the absolute best there is at what she does. We worked with her as a lactation consultant (after trying a handful of others) and she literally fixed our challenges in just one session. She offered medically sound advice, with kindness and empathy. We then discovered she's also a baby whisperer! Her ability to connect with babies to discern their other challenges is remarkable. As a Craniosacral Therapist, she's helped our daughter with tension and tightness that was affecting her ability to pass bowel movements. We feel so lucky to have found, Carrie! And we know we've only scratched the surface of her expertise.
We first saw Carrie when my 3 week old daughter was slow gaining weight and I knew something was off with her feeding as we were having to do a ton of bottle supplementation (meaning- constant pumping!) just to keep her weight up. Carrie immediately helped us identify that she had a lip and tongue tie, which our pediatrician didn't even mention might be an issue, put us in touch with the right care provider to get it resolved, and helped us create a care and feeding plan while she recovered. She's now 3 months, her weight gain is on track and we have been able to keep her exclusively breastfed which I don't think we would have been able to do without Carrie's help. Most importantly, she is also incredibly compassionate to all the stress and emotional struggles that can come along with being a new parent and having breastfeeding issues.
When I contacted Carrie my 4 month old was falling off the growth chart and our pediatrician didn't offer much guidance. We were desperate to figure out what was going on. Carrie sent over a very thorough intake form. When she came out to our home she knew our case in and out and had a plan of action. I was amazed at her knowledge and problem solving abilities. She was pretty sure it was a lip and tongue tie issue that had dropped my supply and was causing feeding issues. She sent us to an amazing specialist who confirmed the ties and took care of them the same day. Carrie has helped in getting my supply up and with after care of my daughter's tongue tie. She is AMAZING and I don't know what I would have done without her. I just wish I had found her sooner!
