NYC gal living in Pine Bush for almost 1 year; I always thought Middletown had the best food . That was a lie 😆 I decided to order take out here for the first time; after craving a much needed cheeseburger and oh boy it did not disappoint! so glad I did!
Hands down this is the best burger in town Satisfied customer 🫶🏼
Went here the other however long ago it was on i think Feb 18th/19th as it was like 10 or 11 ish, til whenever i was there with my friends. Went for food and enjoyed every bit of it. Between the 4 of us we had starters and a meal there, and i have to say the portions were generous, we were tended to like it was one of your average larger restaurants, and the food tasted amazing. Im usually a picky eater and didnt think the bit of what they do offer would be much what I like, but they blew me away with it. Ive honestly been wanting to get back there to have an excuse to get more of the spicy sauce they give with the fries and onion rings, some kind of spicy dip, and I figured since I was looking the place up again, Id put my review up. Ive lived nearby my whole life and never heard of the place til my friend offered to take our group there for the night and now Ive found out ive been missing out for however long the current setup with the staff and all has been there.
All of my friends say this place is so great. The prices aren’t bad but the food is nothing special. The burger patty was in the shape of a meatball. 3 at our table, so it was not a mistake, it’s how people like it I guess. My medium burger was well done. The fries were not worth eating but since it was 4pm and my first meal I was hungry so I ate them. The ketchup was turning sour, but the server said it’s normal, “they rinse the bottle before they add more ketchup.” Maybe they should try washing the bottles.
My son is a pescatarian so he had the fish n chips, there were two orders over at our table. My friend did not finish her fries, I guess they were not that great for her either. My son did only ate half of the fish. He loves fish, so I guess it wasn’t anything special. I finished his fish. It was pretty good, very moist.
Overall, I would say it’s just average for a pub.
I don’t usually go out of my way to leave reviews, but this little restaurant/pub blew it out of the water for us. Was looking for a new place to bring my parents who’ve lived here for 35+ years, but my mom is a new amputee. I called last minute to ask if they could accommodate. The owner who quickly introduced herself as Josie, said come on down, we’ll figure it out. My mom is a little shy since this is new and I didn’t want to make a big deal of it. We got there and a suitcase ramp is already in the door, waiting for us! I can’t tell you how relieved I was. Mom smiled from beginning to end. The bartender/waitress was friendly, attentive, and cheery. The 4 of us all ended up with burgers and my dad (the hardest to please), thought it was absolutely delicious. $10 bucks for a delicious, SIZABLE cheddar burger with the works, and fries. Can’t beat that! Mom had one of their signature cocktails (a Peanut Butter White Russian I believe) and commented how good it was and good thing she didn’t have to drive! 😜 Small town feel with high class service. Thank you, Longstreet Tavern. We found our new spot!
