La Gondolita Pizza

Update, the restaurant did wind up refunding me for the order described below, which I think says a lot about them and we will continue ordering from them. I’m changing rating as well.

Ok, so my family and I have ordered from this place dozens of times since we moved to the area a few months ago. delivery is always over an hour and if we order pizza the cheese and toppings have slid all over the place, which just means the delivery drivers don’t properly manage the food. But we never complained. The pizza dough is always too thick for my liking and has a bit of a gummy chewy consistency. Other than that the pizza is decent. Any cold sub we have ordered was horrible and they didn’t follow topping requests. Again, never complained. Parm subs are good, calzones are good, salads are good, the huge garlic knots were my favorite thing on the menu, until they changed them into small doughy knots.
Like I said before, we have ordered from them a lot they are one of the only places that deliver where we live. As long as you know what’s good on the menu you can have a good meal. However, despite how many times we ordered, I would have expected more customer loyalty from them. Maybe it’s just me, but if you have a customer that orders from you very frequently, and you mess up, you would want to make it right. I always order through the slice app, and it was an hour and a half after we ordered and I was getting notifications from the app asking how the food was?? We never got the food. I started chatting with the app, the representative contacted the restaurant and they said it had been delivered??? I found our food left outside. They did not knock, they did not call. They left it outside while we were hungrily waiting. The food was cold, a spider had gotten in our pizza box. The representative on chat said the restaurant offered 25% off which was like $7, when we have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars at this place. I didn’t really think that was acceptable, but what do I know? Anyways, out of principle we won’t be ordering again. Hope the $23 was worth a loyal customer.

I've ordered from here a couple times since I'm new to the area. These reviews saying small portions? I'm super confused. I got a caprese salad and it's big enough for at least 3 or 4 servings(sorry for the half eaten salad but it was sooo good!!) And the small calzone is easily enough for 4 meals!!! And the guy behind the counter was funny! So that's an A+ on service for me!! The pizza is some of the most delicious around. And I had no problems with delivery the one time I had delivery.

First time ordering here through the slice app, I am impressed with the authenticity of the Mexican food, the shrimp tacos, guac, rice and beans were delicious!! we also ordered hawaiian pizza and pepperoni pizza. I highly recommend this restaurant 👍🏽👏🏽 Edit: ordered shrimp fajitas!! delicious
