  I Discover the Lillegard around three years ago. I am addicted. This Bed and breakfast is kept impeccably clean, the fresh back breakfasts are amazing, And the owner Suzanne and Kevin are more than accommodating. Has a hand dipped ice cream parlor and his steps away from the beach. This is my favorite vacation

  It's been awhile since I have stayed here, but so happy to be back. They simply think of everything from making sure the Kuerig is always fully stocked to having a bucket out front with clean water (they seem to empty and fill it often throughout the day) to rinse sand off your feet before entering. The room (Ocean View room) was very clean with a great ocean view and ocean sound. Highly recommend and already booking another trip or two during the next few weekA!

  This was my second time at the Lillagaard and I can’t wait to come back. A couple of the rooms are really great for a solo traveler- mine had a view of the ocean! Speaking of, there are nice porches here to just sit and chill on a rocking chair. The owners are really kind and helpful, and leave out awesome cookies and sweets along with helpful maps and guest information. The breakfast is quite tasty, and that makes it a really great deal for this area. It’s also steps from the ocean and a really beautiful pier, both of which are way less crowded than asbury park. I think ocean grove is really healing, quiet and beautiful. Youll also be steps away from amazing food and cute shops in the area. Highly recommend coming here to unwind.

  Staying at the Lillagaard felt like signing up for a rest cure at the beach! The front door is steps from the ocean, which more than justified the price. Parking was abundant and free. We walked almost everywhere and it was enjoyable taking in the Victorian houses. Our room was small but had a view of the ocean, ceiling fan, window A/C and comfortable bed. The sink in your room is a good solution to the awkward bathroom situation. They have all the quirks of an old B and B, but somehow managed to keep it clean and comfortable with plush carpeting and great attention to detail. The breakfast was honestly amazing and a great way to save money. Fresh baked cookies greeted us every day and the huge porches allowed opportunities to both have alone time and also chat with other guests. How they managed to nail privacy with so many guests is a mystery to me! Beach chairs and towels are available to guests, along with many other conveniences! As a queer couple we felt incredibly safe and welcome. Overall, this was a comfortable, unique stay with a location that can’t be beat. Come let them take great care of you while you breathe in the fresh sea air at The Lillagaard!
