Dr. Lerner is extremely thorough and has been wonderful for my whole family. Here are the facts:
1. Prior to seeing Dr. Lerner, we went to My Eye Doctor. I needed progressives and after 3 attempts, My Eye Doctor still didn't get the prescription right and my insurance would not cover any more changes. Dr. Lerner got it right the first time and it is WONDERFUL to be able to use progressives.
2. Dr. Lerner identified an issue with my 8 yr old that My Eye Doctor did not identify, he sent us to see a specialist and thank goodness, with eye exercises we hope to avoid surgery because it was caught in time.
3. It is hard to find an appt for my 16 yr old with his busy schedule. Dr. Lerner worked with us to fit him in and got him done within 45 minutes!
4. My father went to see Dr. Lerner through my recommendation and even though he is 79 yrs old, he said he never had an eye exam that was so thorough.
I know some people complain about how they have to wait, but you know when he is giving you an eye exam, he is taking the time you deserve to do a great job and do it right. He is not rushing you through the appt just to stay on schedule like other places do.
Bottom line, if you want a thorough eye exam, see Dr. Lerner. If you have to wait a little, aren't your eyes worth it?
Dr. Lerner is a ROCK STAR inside the exam room. No other doctor has given me such a crystal-clear accurate lens prescription. His examinations are thorough, unrushed, and he explains everything in an easy-to-understand fashion.
Dr. Lerner personally and quickly returns phone calls, and is always willing to 'squeeze' you in if it's an emergency or if he has a cancellation.
Dr Lerner is the most amazing optometrist! He is a very thorough and comprehensive eye doctor. I have complete confidence in his ability to help me keep my eyes healthy and providing the best prescription for my glasses. He takes his time with each patient, so expect to be at the office for at least an hour. Believe me it is well worth the time. The time to get your glasses can vary based on the lab used. Dr Lerner's labs are the quickest, as soon as a week, but insurance company labs can take several weeks or more.
Dr. Lerner is an excellent optometrist. I would not trust my eyes with anyone else. I have seen news shows on what to look for in a good optometrist and Dr. Lerner not only meets the criteria but far exceeds it. I have some medical issues that make my eyes extra sensitive as well as being extra sensitive to how glasses fit, and Dr. Lerner has the patience to work with me to be sure that everything is right for me. Expect to be there quite a while, but that is because his exams are quite thorough which after all is what we want for our precious sight. Getting glasses from the lab can vary in time, but that is out of his hands, it has to do with what is going on in whatever lab. Yes, I spend a long visit when I see Dr. Lerner, but it is time well spent for sure!!!!
Love Dr. Lerner! Always remembers our last conversation, even if it's 6 months-1 year in between. Very personable guy. Frames are expensive there, but for an eye exam and contact fitting you can't go wrong...much better than the corporate operations at the mall
