Heart Start Training Institute

I was looking into take an adult, Child, infant cpr and first aid class for quite sometime now however I did not feel comfortable going to some random person. Previously being certified I knew the basics, however things have changed and I wanted to have the most current training. Once I saw that Michelle started up Heart Start Training, I knew this was where and who I wanted to certify me.
As soon as I registered, she sent and provided all the information that I needed. Last time I was certified, I spent my entire day in a classroom setting watching video after video. Having the online portion (which you complete at your own pace and can pause anytime is a plus when you have a child) and then the in class portion was great. The in class part that Michelle conducted was hands down the best I have had. Things were not dragged out, she was not robotic when covering topics and held your attention the entire time. She constantly made sure that everyone understood the material at hand and did not make you feel as though you would be judged if you asked a question.
Having an instructor who is passionate about teaching the material at hand and not someone who appeared miserable and monotone the entire time made the class enjoyable.

Had the pleasure of taking Adult, Child, and infant cpr and first aid class. I chose the blended of online and in person.

Online was around an hr and you can save progress so you dont have to complete in 1 sitting. If you have previous knowledge the online portion could be quicker.

In person was great. Michelle was very knowledgeable and walked us through emergency protocols for CPR (infant-adult), choking (stomach thursts), and life threatening bleeding. We were able to use cpr dummies, and practice using AED.

As a coach for multiple sports being prepared for a worse case scenario is very reassuring. I highly recommend to use Heart Start Training Institute for your CPR and First Aid needs.
