  I visited Hare studio for the first time and Humphrey did my color, I wanted to do the ash blond. he discussed with me the options that he usually do on the Asian hair, he suggested me to do the color with 2 shade darker, which is when I shampoo the hair, the color will fade a little by little, I really agree with that, and he looked for some other colors with ash to show me and see which color I like. Finally I chose this ash dark grey.The whole process took 2 hours. However Humphrey did a good job and I love this color. I definitely will come back next time.

  This is my must go to hair salon! Effie has been cutting and coloring my hair for the past few years. She is very talented and professional. She always communicated with me and gave me great consultations about my hair style and how to maintain it. Sometimes I didn’t know what color I wanted and I would just leave it to Effie. Every time the result came out was just amazing without any doubt. I received a lot of compliments from friends and family. I cannot recommend this place enough.

  Stop your research and book an appointment at Hare Studio now! I did hours and hours of research trying to find a good coloring salon in Manhattan and I’m sooo glad I found Hare Studio and wish I came here from the start when I first starting bleaching/dyeing my hair.
  
  When I first saw Emily, my hair was very very badly damaged (snapped at the crown) and GREEN from previous horror bleaching experiences. I thought I would never be able to dye/bleach my hair again but Emily somehow still transformed my hair to the colors I wanted, while being very meticulous and careful during the entire process. She takes the time to check literally each individual hair strand to make sure it holds up to the chemicals and is going right. I also really appreciate that Emily doesn’t offload the work to an assistant, but instead does it all on her own which most salons do not do. So you are really paying for service from a master colorist which I didn’t think would be as affordable as it is ESPECIALLY in Manhattan. They don’t try to push any additional products or services on you and give you honest feedback and advice for maintaining your hair.
  
  Effie also cut my hair and was able to transform my broken, choppy hair into a beautiful shaggy and trendy haircut that is much easier to maintain. They even stayed late after closing to make sure my hair was the way I wanted it.
  
  Save your time and don’t bother going to the second rate salons in Queens with thousands of reviews on Yelp because the damage you will eventually have to pay for with color correction is just not worth it. Go to Emily and feel comfortable knowing you are getting top notch service from a true PROFESSIONAL, and not from 2-3 assistants just cycling through customers.

  Only excellent things about Effie and Hare Studio. I’ve been with Effie for over 10 years and finally took the leap to change the color of my hair. At Hare Studio, the staff are always professional, accommodating, and providers of high-quality styling. Effie and her staff are above and beyond with their service, which provides reassurance to the outcome of your hair styles every time.   I recommend coming here wholeheartedly!!! It's always hard to find a place that will dye your hair the color you want, but Emily really did an amazing job!
  
  She really put a lot of care into the process and I found myself falling asleep quite a few times. Emily made sure that my roots were bleached evenly all throughout. She even goes to explain the health of your hair and offers advice so that your hair can stay as healthy while being dyed. I have long hair that's been pretty damaged due to bleaching and dying it a lot so her advice really helped me out.
  
  I've been to many different salons and have dyed, bleached, and cut my hair many different colors and styles and honestly, I felt very comfortable at Hare Studio and was more than in love with the final result. I wanted to get orange hair and the final shade was absolutely beautiful! Literally got compliments 5 minutes out of the salon from random strangers!!! I continued to get compliments throughout the whole month from men and women!
  
  The final price was honestly not too bad for manhattan prices and the results were more than satisfactory! I def have been recommending Hare Studio to all my friends whenever they mentioned getting their hair dyed or cut because it's worth it!
  
  I came back a second time and was not disappointed. This time, I wasn't sure what I wanted besides rebleaching my roots and having a somewhat light hair color. Emily made some suggestions and honestly it turned out quite beautifully! The end result is a rose color that I ended up really loving!
