(August 12, 2023, 12:11 pm)What an awesome week of training in CT! Dropped in at Gonzalez Grappling! Everyone was super nice and most importantly they take care of their training partners! Thank you to coaches Jason, Jeremy and Austin for allowing me to train and the new techniques! During takedown sparring coach Jeremy hit me with the move of the day! It was so smooth all i could do was be impressed! I can't recommend this school enough if your in Connecticut! See you guys next time I'm in town!

(February 13, 2023, 10:51 pm)I wasn’t sure what to expect going into a jiu jitsu gym for the first time having only done karate, but this place is awesome. The coaches are so friendly and made me feel at ease, especially as a beginner. The coaches push to be the best I can be. They got a new customer from me for sure!

(February 9, 2023, 6:52 pm)As someone who has moved around for school and jobs frequently, I have joined and left many, many gyms. I’ve been here for 2 weeks at time of review.
This type of gym is different from most and I’ve only found one other that was like it. The way that Coach cares for people in the gym, and the individual attention I receive, is next level. By far the easiest gym I’ve ever joined.
He gages peoples comfort zones or skill sets, and is always watching to make sure that people are getting what they need. I really don’t have enough good things to say about this gym and the guy who runs it.
For kids: I’m a licensed therapist who works with children (7-12 years old) and feel completely confident in recommending this gym for my young clients. I stuck around to see one of there sessions and he works extremely well with children who are new to martial arts or wrestling/grappling. -

(February 2, 2023, 11:10 pm)I don’t write reviews often, but I think this is a good school to get into Jiu-Jitsu, especially if you starting out. My brother introduced me to this school and we both had fun rolling around with the gis. Overall good community and good coach, he teaches at a good pace and makes things easier to grasp.

My son has been training with Coach Jay and Lil’Coach Jay for 4 years. We highly recommend everyone to come join our family. Fun hard training with lots of laughs and great memories

I came here to work on my jiu jitsu which I am only very, very slightly familiar with.
