(August 16, 2023, 9:25 pm)Mark and Gollihur music are the best. I was classically trained in elementary through high school but spent the past 50 years in rock bands with my Rickenbacker. I recently bought a 1937 Kay Maestro-1. I was all over the place thinking about strings and a pick-up. Finally, picked up the phone and spoke to Mark. He recommended Zyex strings and a KNA pick-up. We had a hootenanny at my house last weekend and the Kay performed flawlessly. I should add that everything Mark recommended was les expensive than what I was initially looking at. He listened to my needs and made great recommendations. I won’t be using any other store for my upright bass equipment going forward. You should do the same. Thank you Mark.

(August 13, 2023, 8:27 pm)I purchased an “Ed” package upright bass from Gollihur music and received it roughly 5 weeks ago. I needed a bass for loud gigs set up for rockabilly that could be a workhorse. This instrument fits my needs perfectly. It’s much more robust than my hybrid Christopher bass and surprisingly slightly louder. The pickup system is also much better than I anticipated. It was a long wait but worth it. Thanks!

(June 14, 2023, 6:43 pm)Several years ago I acquired a 1948 Meisel 3/4 double bass in need of much work. Gollihur was very helpful in offering this newbie advice, opinions and a large selection of choices.
A new bridge, graphite end pin, strings, padded case, stand and David Gage Realist pickup system. They included some black on white oval GOLLIHUR stickers for my vehicle.
Fast forward to the present and I ordered another sticker for a new vehicle. I was pleasantly surprised to find TWO stickers included in my order. It's these little things that will keep me returning to them for all my needs
