The pay is average compared to other local agencies, but what makes them shine out from the rest, is the Staff. The Staff at Golden Horizons really care about their clients and their caregivers as well. Lisa and Megan are the most genuine, family orientated business owners I have ever gotten the pleasure to know.

(March 18, 2021, 2:35 pm)My dad was a client of Golden Horizons in Old Saybrook for many years and I can't say enough about how well he was cared for. One of his caregivers who helped him with bathing and cooking ended up becoming more like a member of the family. As my dad got older and needed more frequent care, Golden Horizons helped us fill a daily need. When a scheduled caregiver couldn't make it due to sickness or weather, the management staff made sure to find someone so that my dad would not be alone. They never let us down. Golden Horizons is the reason my father was able to stay living at home alone for so long!

(December 19, 2017, 8:01 pm)I work for a retirement facility were Mary a resident at the facility has needed extra help to take care of daily tasks. She has home caregivers from Golden Horizons Elder care that have worked with her for about two years. Mary raves about her caregiver all the time. The caregiver gives her the ability to be able to stay in the independent apartments and not have to move to assisted Living. Thank you Golden Horizons for being reliable and helping Mary to enjoy each day. Mary looks forward to seeing her.
