(July 6, 2020, 11:20 am)We were a group of three couples and booked a three hour sunset cruise over July 4th weekend. Derrick was so wonderfully chill and shared his knowledge of the local sites we passed. Very clean boat and we lucked out with perfect weather and a spectacular sunset. Will definitely do this again. Highly recommend.

(August 13, 2019, 10:49 pm)If you are looking for a loud, rambunctious captain for your next party cruise, please look elsewhere. Derrick is a super chill guy who really loves to sail and to share the experience with others. I had the task of making up to my mom who I took on a disasterous fishing charter a couple years ago where she got really sick. Derrick was flexible and helpful in picking a calm day on the water. It was probably a bit too calm but my parents really enjoyed it as did my 7 year old. The Alyan is sporty and well maintained; perfect for group of 5 or 6. While you can't help fawning over the multimillion dollar yachts all over Sag Habor, there is something nice about hitting the water on an enthusiasts vessel. The price was very reasonable compared to other charters in the area. I'd love to go back with just my son on a windier day. Thanks, Derrick.

(September 16, 2018, 2:09 pm)I had the luxury of going out with Derek for a charter on his 45ft sail yacht, "The Alyan". While Derek wasn't in charge of the weather which was absolutely perfect, he can take credit for the rest of an absolutely amazing day. I not only got to relax as we toured Sag Harbor, but also got a first rate sailing education. He let me be involved in every aspect of sailing which just heightened the experience. To be completely honest the hospitality and genuine passion for the water showed in everything, including how immaculate his boat was. I have to say the most enjoyable part was his company, knowledge, and amazing stories from his career. I have to say from meeting us at the marina to tendering us off the mooring, the day could not have been better. I would highly recommend Galen Marine for charters, you will not be disappointed in any aspect of your day, including the price. Thank you, Derek for everything!⚓⛵☀️🏝️
