  We had a wonderful time with Steve and Bella aboard the Half-Shell. Perfect hosts. The fresh oysters were absolutely fantastic, we couldn’t get enough. I enjoyed learning all about how oysters are grown and farmed. Gave us a new appreciation. Beautiful boat cruise around the bay taking in the best Long Island had to offer. Strongly recommend that couples enjoy this unique experience.

  We had a great outing with Steve and Bella! Very hospitable and amazingly fresh oysters! We enjoyed cruising around the bay in Steve’s classic boat and learning ins & outs of how to farm oysters — highly recommend!

  The oyster experience with Steve was the highlight of our North Fork weekend. We learned so much about oyster farming , the Suffolk County aquaculture program, and the history and revival of oyster farming in these clean waters. Then we learned how to shuck them and had a sunlit, breezy feast of the most delicious oysters we have ever had . Steve’s wife’s homemade mignonette was just right but the oysters were perfect on their own too. We will book a cruise soon.

  Excellent oysters. Raised with love. Steve serves them with a smile and Monica’s homemade mignonette is the best! Best way to enjoy all of the above: the oyster boat cruise. Gorgeous old tender and views. Those Peconic Bay sunsets never disappoint!

  We truly had the best experience during our oyster workshop with Steve! It was super educational and we learned a lot, but he also just made us feel so at home (in his home). It felt like we were over at a friend’s house having a fun afternoon shucking and eating some of the most delicious oysters I’ve ever had!
  
  I’ve also never been able to shuck an oyster before (I’ve tried on multiple occasions), but with Steve’s guidance and tips, I was shucking away! Very exciting.
  
  We would totally do this again and highly recommend! It was the highlight of our weekend in the North Fork, despite it being a wintery, snowy day :)
