(October 4, 2022, 1:33 pm)Hey look I been a hort pro for most my adult life and this place is way above average. It hits all the marks in terms of quality , selection, skills, and customer service. I might have given them 4 stars except the one star fig tree review upset me enough for how wrong it is to write a review when u r ignorant of the facts, and wanted to improve their score. Fig trees are NOT cold hardy..despite branding attempts to say otherwise , despite trendy ideas about them, and despite global warming. Unless u protect them over winter they will eventually die in colder climates. Period.

(July 19, 2022, 6:57 am)I'm going to start this review about the person with the one star regarding a fig tree. Fig trees are NOT hardy in the North East. Hardy means "they withstand the winter unprotected". "hardy" Fig trees thrive unprotected in zones 8- 10 is total BS. I would not plant ANY fig tree and left unprotected in any zone higher than 8. I've had many fig trees and everyone either was taken into the garage and watered "lightly" during the winter, or BURIED, mulched and COVERED. The "grave" one would dig (first time digging as you don't want to do that every year) should be AT LEAST a foot or deeper depending on the frost line etc. The tree was not planted straight up but at a slant for ease of burying when the time came. One side of the roots were dug up in order for the tree to be "buried". Then covered with leaves...LOTS of leaves, we even used insulation (the covered type). Then put plywood on top and hay bales if you want to go that far. In the spring, reverse the order and figs were us year after year. So KNOW YOUR PLANTS and do your OWN research...this is 2022 people.
Now, my review. Went there and was helped by the most wonderful owners/ and staff in the world. VERY HELPFUL. Thank you and wish you were closer. I'll add fotos when I get them. -
