  After our laundry room sustained water damage, we needed the room to be renovated. After several contractor consults/estimates, we decided to hire Derek. Not only did he take his time to explain the renovation process, but he was prompt with communication, fair with his pricing, does quality work, and cares about his clients. We already mentioned that we will be hiring him again to fully gut our on suite bathroom. Thank you Derek for making this stressful situation a lot less of a headache!

  We were so happy to find Derek. My husband and I used to do a lot of work around the house but we don’t bend and twist the way we used to (LOL) and repairs have gotten away from us over the years. We needed a new front door and storm door and we are ecstatic with the work Derek did installing the door, new light fixture and re-stain the cedar shakes surrounding the area. Inside he redid the electric and sheetrock and repainted the hall. He came back to remodel our tiny master bath and we're just blown away with the result!! (See before and after) We loved his open and honest approach and he is a pleasure to work with. Being artists we appreciated his own artistic eye for detail and quality work. We can’t say enough! Thanks Derek!

  We would definitely use Derek again. We had a number of small jobs to complete. Normally, my husband and I do our own plaster and tile repair, but we had a deadline date to complete by and could see that we would not make it unless we hired someone to help us. Having done our own work for 30 years we can be fussy regarding quality. We’re glad we found Derek. He really cares about a the result and worked cooperatively with us over a period of months to make our target date, repairing plaster and wallboard as well as laying a tile floor and making an unexpected tile repair made necessary by a plumbing repair. Thanks, Derek!

  Derek removed an old shower enclosure whose door was not opening and closing properly; some tile had to be removed, the underlying support replaced, the original tile replaced and re grouted, and the base of the shower re caulked and sealed prior to installation of the new enclosure. Derek performed this work in an exemplary manner. He also removed and replaced the original shower valve which had a slight leak which we hadn't noticed and which he pointed out to us. The valve now operates ads it did when new. Let me add that on an earlier review I mistakenly posted 4 stars for repair/rebuild of a kitchen cabinet. This should have been five stars. Derek is a skilled and knowledgeable individual. I recommend him wholeheartedly.
