    Dave has been giving my teenage son piano lessons for about a year and a half now & I recommend him to everyone. His jazz background makes his lessons so much better than anything you can get form a standard music school that just follows the curriculum in a particular book series. He really tailors the lessons to the individual student in order to foster creativity. He goes above and beyond to follow my son's musical interests and curiosity to keep him engaged and enthusiastic. I'm continually impressed with how much music theory he has taught him. My son not only uses it to improvise and write his own music, but can explain it to others.

    Dave is a wonderful teacher. I have been taking private lessons with him for about a year and have made a lot of progress. My first instrument is my voice as I’ve been singing all my life and have always wanted to learn to play the piano. As an adult learner I needed someone who would be patient and willing to customize my lessons for my singing aspirations. Dave is very talented, always professional, courteous and willing to provide additional teaching materials to aid me in my practice between lessons. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn to play at any level!

    Dave has been a great piano teacher for me. He's very knowledgeable about technique and repertoire. He seems to always know just the right piece to help with some specific area of my playing. He's also helping me break some long-held bad habits that were starting to cause a little discomfort while playing. Highly recommend!

    I appreciate the opportunity to take piano lessons from Dave Long who really helps me improve my piano. He can quickly identify my issues and help me make improvement efficiently. I take his lesson every week and feel encouraged to practice more between lessons. His teaching tailors to my technical level and guides me to make more progress than I expected. I look forward to more of my piano lessons with Dave Long to pursue more piano technique and music theory.

    Dave brings more than 20 years of piano experience to his lessons. He has a deep grasp of both music theory and piano technique. He gave me tailored instruction that was at my level. He is a thoughtful and enthusiastic musician who cares deeply about helping people pursue their musical path. I highly recommend Dave as a piano teacher.
