  My husband & I spent an enjoyable 2 hrs touring the "new" D&H Canal Museum and chatting with historian & curator, Bill Merchant. Definitely worth a visit. (There was no charge but donations are welcomed.)

  I like the hand on exhibits and the music and that it's kid friendly but I would talk more about the tavern a little more and letting people go upstairs would be nice

  What an amazing experience, I know that they have been slowly rebuilding the trailhead, I would hope eventually they would eventually have informative signs at the crest of each lock. The trail was beautiful but we had no idea how long the trail was. We only went to the second lock and stopped and turned back. The Museum was very I interesting. So nice to see the beginning of the Canal, we live at where it ends, the staff were very well versed with the history of the Canal and the workings
  of it from Kingston to Honesdale. I would definitely refer it to others and have.

  Cute museum with some great exhibits. The museum staff were friendly and helpful. My favorite exhibit was the model lock with water and all. Good use of model landscapes and artifacts from the era.
  
  Has a very good walk with 5 locks, all of which are in pretty good shape considering they've been out of commission for over one hundred years. I was impressed by the snubbing posts that were still on site. The walk is a leisurely half mile. I'd make sure to bring tick spray as it is pretty well wooded.
  
  The museum staff told us they will be moving from their current location to a larger building closer to the 5 lock walk, next year (2020). Looking forward to checking out again next year.

  Wonderful exhibits on an amazing feat of engineering and a little-known but vital piece of American economic and social history. Highly recommended.
