My backyard hike with ample parking and clearly marked trails. Arrive early during the day for a quiet and less crowded stroll in the woods during the weekend. Great for families with young children.

This is a hidden gem hiking spot, tucked away from all the traffic and noise of Westchester county. Unlike some other trail systems, you are quite isolated from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

There are several loops available, covering several different types of terrain including forest, marsh, and a large pond. There's also an old stone quarry which you can climb up as part of your loop. It's a bit challenging with a toddler on your back but certainly manageable.

We've seen all manner of wildlife here including: fish, snakes, turtles, frogs, and occasional deer.

Word to the wise: the most common creature here is the MOSQUITO, especially near the water during the summer. Make sure to bring bug spray or hustle through the marshy portion of the loop.

Awesome little hidden gem! NO DOGS ALLOWED (fyi) since its a preserve. However there's plenty of trails depending on how challenging you want them to be. Went in December and I recommend good hiking shoes and walking sticks as the leaves can make it a little slippery! trails are well marked and they offer a paper trail map by main parking lot (in the white covered board). park closes at 4. also beware by the quarry that a known copperhead snake has been in the area recently! my son (7months old) went rock scrambling for the first time here! super easy climb and great views minus graffiti. overall clean park to enjoy!!

The trails here are absolutely beautiful. If you follow the map correctly it's very doable to get all the way around, there's no human trash anywhere distributing the nature and the trails were relatively empty. I can imagine during peak it will be gorgeous in here. That's even some picnic tables around in the front area that look really nice for that too.

There’s a lot of still-water in this area and a ton of bugs and mosquitoes in September. The trails are awesome and they had maps to take at the beginning of the hike. It is a generally flat walk through the forest. The area is very green and peaceful, other than the bugs
