I have been caring for my mother for many years. The decision to move my mother to long term care was difficult. On Friday evening 2/24/23 at 5:30pm, I stopped at Milford Manor unannounced and without an appointment. I requested a tour of the facility. Simeone was preparing to go home, but instead of going home, Simeone gave me a tour and answered all my questions. I am a retired police officer with 26 years of experience, I notice everything. As we walked around the facility, music was playing in the hallways, it was dinner time and staff was busy caring for patients. The facility is clean and as we walked by various rooms I could hear nurses and aides speaking to patients. I could feel the compassion and warmth of the Milford Manor staff. After this tour, arrangements were made for my mother to be moved to Milford Manor. Since my Mom's arrival at Milford Manor, I have visited everyday. The care is second to none. I would like to name each person individually, but I am afraid I would forget to mention someone at Milford Manor. I will say this...from admissions to the person who labeled my mother's clothes, to the nurses who cared for my mother, to the physical therapy staff, to the front desk staff and maintenance staff (who fixed the light above Mom's bed), to the Social workers and the food staff, to the housekeeping and laundry staff, to the accounting staff and the beautician, to the aides who wash Mom, brush her hair and change her clothes...from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU.
