  Words cannot express how grateful we are for the care and consideration afforded our family. Every step of the way Elysia and her team treated our loved one with such care and dignity. They never made us feel rushed or stressed, they were gentle in their approach, appropriate in their care and shared so powerfully and personally with us. Their care made this terrible occasion feel lighter, there was no doubt that we were all in professional and trustworthy hands. It may seem strange to write a review for a funeral home but, it is my hope that anyone who has to go through this situation uses Chapey and Sons for their loved one's final goodbye. Thank you Elysia, you were a godsend.

  This was our 1st time having to plan a funeral for a family member. Elysia went above and beyond to explain everything, answered all of our questions and accommodate us in every way possible. Her professionalism and personal touch truly put us at ease. My dad was so pleased with everything she did. She truly touched our hearts when she hugged our brother at the cemetery as she saw his pain. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything. I highly recommend Chapey in Bethpage and ask for Elysia.

  Our family found chapey and sons very compassionate and caring ! Andrew was a big help with all the arrangements didn’t push his opinion of anything we needed to choose and Maureen was our funeral director and guided us with our last minute changes didn’t hear no not possible or too late to change they were all lovely people we dealt with at the hardest days of our lives ! Thank you all the DiBenedetto family

  Ken and Doug Chapey were beyond understanding, flexible, sensitive, and compassionate during a family’s most heartbreaking time when a family must say goodbye to a loved one. They were extremely generous in helping a family find a way to cover funeral and burial expenses. Ken, Doug and Joseph ( the hearse driver) showed tremendous warmth, respect, and support to the grieving family. They helped them to have everything possible to bring closure and some peace to a painful and sad goodbye. I want to thank Ken, Doug, Joseph and the rest of the Chapey & Sons Funeral Home team, from the bottom of my heart, for all that they did because you all went above and beyond to help a grieving family in their time of need. I would highly recommend Chapey & Sons Funeral Home because they don’t see their families as a business opportunity but rather as families who need to be supported and cared for so they can begin to heal.
