  We went to TASTE ON THE BEACH. Lots of food and liquor vendors , not to crowded , live music and had a beautiful day there .
  Nice north shore beach across from small strip mall that has an amusement area , some fine dining and other amenities . Fabulous view of Connecticut from this beach head .

  Great place to take young children. You have the bay on one side and access to the Sound on the other. You'd never think you're on Long Island when you look around at the surrounding landscape. You can see why Billy Joel fell in love with the area.

  Hands down my favorite beach. It's so peaceful, clean, and quite. I do not mind taking the hour drive to come here. This beach is good for picnics, and fishing as well. I'm also amazed at all the marine creatures I find like little crabs that walks around. Last time I came, me and my cousins freaked out because we thought we saw a stingray. Come to find out, it was a dead horseshoes crab lol. We were kinda scared to get back in the water after that. Beware of the jellyfish problem though. They're EVERYWHERE.
