(June 14, 2023, 9:40 pm)Great all around campsite. PERMIT & FIRE PERMIT REQUIRED TO USE OVER NIGHT. Tons of hiking & walking trails. Great lake for fishing. PLEASE KEEP CLEAN. Truly a gift from Mother Nature!

(September 11, 2022, 2:13 pm)We stayed at lakeside lean-to (#6) and had a great time. There was a fire pit and a charcoal grill with a nice view of the lake and good shelter under the lean-to when it rained. No black-bear sightings but lots of wildlife about if you look and listen. I would’ve left 5 stars but ONLY complaint was in regards to the latrine. I completely understand that this is a rustic campground and loved the experience overall, but the latrine was not kept clean at all. If you’re going to stay here please clean up after yourself :)

(October 24, 2021, 6:56 pm)Spent a lovely autumn night at the Southwest Campsite! It was clean and well-maintained. The site provided an ash can and shovel for the fire ring. We did see a black bear poking around a nearby campsite briefly after we arrived so be aware that they are in the area and pack out all trash and food when not in use. The website said that the sites were all booked for the weekend but we were alone in the area for the night apart from a group of folks by the lakeside - guessing some damp weather and drizzles scared a lot of people off. It’s a beautiful and quiet area with easy access to parking.

Sites are pretty close to each other- you will hear each other. Well worth the reservation price
