  A picturesque expanse of grasslands situated in Delaware County, where those habitats are scarce—possibility of meadow birds like Pipits and Larks as well as Wild Turkeys emerging from the woodlands. In late autumn, I trekked the mile-long southern “Howe Trail” and identified 23 bird species including Mallards in the pond, Northern Mockingbirds, three sparrow species in the brush, various blackbirds, and most notably several migrating raptors. This location is fairly high above sea level, especially compared to the rest of the county. Thus, daytime migrating birds should be easier to spot; hawkwatching is viable. FYI, dogs are not allowed.
