Better Place Forests - Litchfield Hills

We brought my mother-in-law to her memorial tree yesterday. It was a beautiful day filled with sunshine, birdsong and a gentle breeze. She had grown up taking long walks in the forest with her parents, and she loved nature, so this felt like the perfect place for her. My wife, daughter and I felt completely at peace from the moment we arrived at the serene setting. The entire experience, overseen by a helpful and compassionate team, truly exceeded our expectations.

The staff was fantastic and so welcoming. We were able to bring our fur-baby Sophie which was great. The forest is so beautiful in early Spring and seeing my tree and the peaceful setting around it gave me such a sense of comfort. Thank you!

This alternative fits my idea of sustainability. To me cemeteries with head stones will be a thing of the past. Why take up real estate when you can give back to the earth and its beauty that has given me joy throughout my life. I have visited Better Place Forest in Litchfield twice and with the help of Chad, General Mgr., found the perfect tree. The forest is well maintained with Aborists and Foresters visiting regularly to care for the forest by removing diseased or dead trees and to remove any invasive species. The staff is warm and welcoming and ready to answer all your concerns. If this is something that you take an interest in don't hesitate to visit.

I visited my tree in September 2022 and as soon as I walked into the guest house I felt welcomed. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. Then I was driven to the tree. The spot was just as lovely in person as on the virtual tour. I fell in love with it. The sun was spotlighting it just for me. I took a walk around the property enjoying all the spectacular views and I knew I made the right decision for me and my family. Calm, peaceful, beautiful, protected, serene.

It was such a pleasant experience meeting my tree, gorgeous setting, the Better Place Forest representative was great, I’d already ordered and paid my tree, so she showed me where it was and was able to answer any questions I had. Every step of the way Better Place Forest has always been most helpful and professional .
The whole concept is wonderful, fits my needs and wishes perfectly, I very grateful.
