  As a Belgian, I had high expectations when I visited BE Chocolat. I was not disappointed! The chocolates were exquisite. I spent a delightful afternoon enjoying their delicious ice cream and chocolates while relaxing at one of their cozy seating area they provided. See you soon! 😉

  Received these chocolates as a gift, particularly sentimental, because a friend used to send gourmet chocolates from where they used to live, but since their spouse has passed, they relocated.
  
  To continue a tradition of sending a gourmet chocolate for Valentine’s Day, they looked online with their daughter and found this shop because it’s not so far from me. Lucky me.
  
  Such extraordinary chocolates, beautifully crafted, intense but delicate flavors… the special nuances of the unique flavors hit your taste buds at unexpected but wonderful moments, all enveloped in either a dark, milk or white chocolate (at least in my assortment).
  
  I also found out after the fact that the owner himself delivered the chocolate to my house, but I already knew he confirmed they’d be safe on delivery because he called me from when he’s was in my building lobby to be sure! This type of service does not exist anymore.
  
  The service level matches the extraordinary taste and quality of the chocolate. I’ve traveled to France, Switzerland, been gifted chocolates from Belgium, and had great chocolate in Italy, Germany.
  
  These chocolates stand among the best of those, which most sweet shop chocolates do not even come close. These are superior quality chocolates, for a connoisseur, someone who truly loves chocolate, that don’t just taste wonderful, but look like little treasures.
  
  Quite a treat.

  What a gem! I caught the end of a story about BE Chocolat on Ch 12 news and was intrigued as I needed a gift for "that person who has everything". My field trip to BE Chocolat proved to be a great success. Not only did I put together a custom box of delightful treats for my "person" but I got delicious bars to send to my kids and even a little box just for myself. The shop is warm and welcoming and smells like what I imagine it does in heaven. The staff is engaging, helpful in making selections and generous in the offering of samples. The array of flavors is wide and interesting. To have such a wonderful, small-business chocolate shop in this end of the state is fabulous and I can't wait for my next field trip to BE.

  Delightful surprise! Wonderful smell of chocolate upon entering. Great selection. Pleasant young man behind the counter who offered samples while checking us out! We were only going to buy a bar and package but ended up buying a box of milk chocolate pistachio and he threw in his favorite praline just because he had a little extra room. We are not waffle eaters but he had samples of that-wow! And for an added extra surprise, 2 horseback riders showed up to get their chocolate fix! It was a perfect day!

  Having been to Belgium and sampled their chocolate and held that as a standard for awhile, I'll have to wipe that from memory and it is now BE Chocolat! And they are right here in Fairfield, minutes away without having to send for it or jump on a plane!! So I was running errands during lunch and needed something to pick-me-up before going back to the office. Stopped off at BE Chocolat at 6 minutes from downtown and had a cup of Belgian Coffee - it was a happy delightful treat to mix the goodness of coffee with the richness of chocolate - I drank that waaay too fast. Note to self: next time sip and savor! While my beverage was barista'd by the lovely Sylvie, I perused the shop and added to my bag a bar of chocolate/coffee, a bag of mendiants (milk chocolate cookies with roasted nuts, rosemary, cayenne pepper, pistachios and salt) and 2 samplers of straight up dark chocolate and ginger with dark chocolate. Jumping ahead, some lucky people at the office sampled some and agreed these were amazingly excellent chocolates. Back at the shop, Sylvie asked me to taste test some holiday chocolates and there was an amazing cranberry and roasted pumpkin seeds milk chocolate bar as well as a similar dark chocolate holiday bar (no cranberries) that were delicious. Not too sweet and feels healthy eating these morsels (well, because they are!) but so totally self-indulgent. Sylvie mentioned that there's terrific WiFi, so those of you who need a break from WFH, bring your laptops there to hang out with Belgian coffee while getting some work done. I'll be back for sure just to get coffee because BE Chocolat is sooooo NOT SBucks and to indulge in more chocolate delights. The holidays are coming, so I'll also be looking at their online store as well as in-store for gift ideas.
