(May 30, 2023, 10:37 pm)I love this place - there are so many cute things for sale and the prices are great. It’s way more than baskets and it’s a great place to find gifts. Normally, I think basket places can get kind of dusty but I am always amazed at how clean and fresh everything is at this place. It’s worth checking out and later in the year I will be dropping in again to do some Christmas shopping because there are lots of little one-of-a-kind things at good prices.

(December 31, 2022, 10:07 am)My wife and I have lived here for years and never stopped in until a few weeks ago. My wife loves baskets, but this Basket Shop has much much more than just baskets. A very cute, somewhat eclectic, selection of items. Very well done and the owners are exceptionally nice. We'll be back.

(May 12, 2013, 11:42 pm)We've been stopping by The Basket Shop for decades, since we were kids growing up in Connecticut. It's a good resting point if you're heading through Gaylordsville, CT, on your way to Litchfield County or the Berkshires, or on the way back down to southern CT or New York. Ice cream, drinks, maple syrup, maple sugar candy, things for the home, and, of course, baskets, all reasonably priced. A few years ago they added The Carriage Barn next door which has a lot more home items and a good variety of different types of candles.
