(June 10, 2023, 2:29 pm)This was the first time visiting the Augustine Inn. The hostess and wait staff are very friendly and accommodating. The menu seemed to have something for everyone. We started with the sampler and shared a Cesear Salad. Both delicious. Absolutely loved the surf and turf. Had plenty to eat and was too full to order any desserts.
Definitely recommend. Looking forward to going back soon. -

(June 3, 2023, 6:39 pm)** 6/3/23 UPDATE** I'm bumping them back up to 4 stars and adding more pics. They had a rough stretch post-COVID, but they're back up to their old form again. Great food! The swordfish steak (a special tonight) was very good. The crab cakes are top notch.
**06/20/2021 UPDATE** I've knocked off a star (down to 3) because they've been very inconsistent lately. I made a reservation explicitly requesting a table on the porch. When we arrived we were told it was booked. When I told the hostess I had specifically reserved outdoors, she replied "I don't know what to tell you." She was thoroughly unapologetic, and seemed annoyed by our request. I ordered the steak frites (again). The steak (a sirloin) was fatty and gristly. The country fried chicken was overcooked and dry.
**05/07/2021 update** just had another delicious meal here. for appetizers we had the stuffed portobello mushroom (a special of the day), and the ahi tuna. (see pics). both were very good. i had the steak frites entree (a 12 oz sirloin with truffle fries). the steak was tender and flavorful albeit a bit salty. the fries were delish. dessert was strawberry shortcake bread pudding. so very good.
We've been here twice recently. Both meals were very good, and I highly recommend this restaurant. The crab bisque is very flavorful and loaded with crab meat. The crab cakes are also full of crab meat ... not filler ... and delicious. The salmon was a bit bland, but paired with a very tasty risotto and sauteed spinach that added flavor.
Service was prompt, attentive, and courteous. The owner came around to greet everyone and ensure satisfaction.
Overall a very enjoyable experience. I highly recommend.
