  Excellent small town butcher shop. Staff is always very friendly. Meats and foods are of top quality. If you are in the area or live here this is an absolute gem to go to. You won't be disappointed.

  I have been going here for many, many years. It started when I found that I could bring my venison in for them to make hotdogs, salami, and Italian sausage. They make it into kielbasa also.
  But, I always get some other deli meats there, like kielbasa loaf, lieberkase, Hungarian sausage, and much more. Before moving to another state, upon visiting back to the area recently, my car would automatically drive to this old school German style deli and meat market.
  Get yourself a sandwich and homemade soup for lunch. Maybe some German potato salad....Mmmmmm....I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! The girls that wait on the counter are so friendly and personable. Everything is so good here and authentic. If you've never been here, I highly recommend this wonderful place!!! I usually drive 60 miles round trip just to go here. What does that tell you?

  Stopped in on May 9th , my first visit ever, strange since I have driven past often over many years. Who knew...I did not...they make great sandwiches? Guess I didn't read the Deli part of the sign! Absolutely delicious pepper turkey with Swiss on rye, and not light on the ingredients. This ain't no ordinary rye bread! I will return soon. Mouth watering delicious!!!!

  I drove from an hour away to try this place and I was not disappointed! There aren’t many places like this left anymore. They have all of my favorite German sausages and other delicacies and the prices are very reasonable. The staff is so nice and welcoming, and even gave me some samples to try while I waited today. You can tell they are proud of their products.
  
  The fresh bratwursts were a big hit with the family and the Landjäger were incredibly authentic (brought back memories from my childhood). I can’t wait to go back again. Highly recommended!

  As a vegetarian it’s often difficult to find something to eat. But I’m getting ahead of myself. I went to Alpine because it’s in the path of my walk as I recover from a herniated disc. The customer service instantly helped relieve my pain. If I had wanted just one slice of cheese I could have gotten it. So I got a couple of samples for my cousin who lives in the area. For myself I got some hot mustard and some sauerkraut. I bought the mustard because there’s a Lion on the label. German royalty stuff. I got the sauerkraut because I don’t eat meat. I’m not opening the mustard until I’m back in NYC. Now I’m going to the Blairstown diner. It has a reputation as the scene from the first Friday the 13th. Oh and the sauerkraut was yummy.
