  Amazing drummer! Amazing teacher! Every lesson is fun. The results I am achieving blow my mind. Whether you’re a seasoned drummer or beginning your musical journey, look no further. Zac is always smiling. The lesson is zero pressure. I have so much fun at my lesson I don’t want to leave when my hour is up. I can’t wait until my next lesson!

  I started taking drumming lessons with Zac a little over a month ago as a complete beginner and I couldn't be happier with my progress. He approaches teaching in a straightforward and light-hearted manner, using my favorite drummers/bands as the guide in which our lessons are structured. Simply put, he teaches you the foundation of skills you'll need as a drummer through your favorite music! He explains what skills are necessary to be the drummer you want to be, giving you context for your practice material and tying together what one could consider boring (rudiments, metronome work) with an actual goal (playing triplets like Bonzo). It's a great approach that keeps things fresh as you begin to build your drumming vocabulary.

  I've been taking lessons from Zac for over a month now. The exercises he has you do seem simple and at first you say to yourself "How is this going to help?". But guess what... It does! Repetition, repletion, repetition!! My meter has improved, My weak left hand is getting strong and more precise. He's showing me these how exercises transfer from the pad to actually playing on the kit. I travel over a hour each week for my lessons and it's well worth it. Six stars!!

  Zac is both a professional drummer and teacher who knows all styles. I appreciate his unique style of teaching. He has two drum sets going which is very important. Nothing beats playing along with someone who’s doing it right!
  Zac doesn’t just give you a bunch of stuff to learn and then drill you on it the next lesson. He gives you tools to work into your playing over time. Some tools are physical and mechanical. Some tools are mental and psychological. He lets you ruminate on all of it while continuing to add to your toolbox. He’s not necessarily “quizzing” you each week, somethings take more than a week to master - even simpler concepts and he gives it space.

  I struck gold when I found Zac! His vast experience and love for the drums shows in his teaching. I am new to the drums and Zac breaks things down in a way that enables me, with proper technique, to learn and progress quickly. He also has you playing songs right away which makes it so much more fun to learn! I highly recommend Zac!
